Fentanyl, a power synthetic opioid has reached Burghill and Tillington! The drug, originally designed as a painkiller, has entered the illegal drug market and Murder by the Way, written and directed by Cyrus Amini uses this theme in Simpson Hall’s annual Murder Mystery play. Cyrus, also a member of the cast of eight, performed their intriguing if not sinister production to a well attended matinee and packed evening performance at the hall. This year saw the added benefit of sound effects, enhancing the excellent cast performances and raising additional laughs on the odd missed cue!
Prizes were award to the best sleuths, raffles organised by the local Lions raised funds for local groups including the Girl Guides and all profits from tickets sales will be shared by Simpson Hall and Herefordshire Headway a local charity providing services to adults who have a head injury or an acquired brain injury.
Entertaining evenings like this couldn’t happen without the tireless support of volunteers, working in the background from box office to kitchen, assisting Charlie, our bookings manager who cooked up a tasty dinner for the occasion. And last, but not least, a big thank you to all those who attended the production, creating an electrified audience for the cast performance.
